That 70’s Shoot

I was approached by a coworker to do a 1970’s roller skating theme shoot…all based on the fact that one of her friends had this “Free the ‘Fro” theme going on, and owned some roller skates. The “Free the ‘Fro” gal is none other than the inimitable @Jamil Andrea, journalist, free spirit, new Texan.

Can’t roller skate.

But let’s not let that little fact get in the way of a good time at the fountain on the corner of Rosemary Street and Clematis!

The coworker who got these skates rolling was none other than my good friend Erica Lynn, who joined us decked out in her very own hawt couture! (yes, pun intended!)

“Let me just hold onto this sign and make it look like I know how to roller skate!”

It’s important to note that Erica did not know how to roller skate, either.

Joining us in this nostalgic recreation of a bygone era was Sarah, a gorgeous and charming young woman who I will forever refer to as “The Only One That Showed Up On Time”.

“On Time Sarah” posing bright and early on Clematis Street!

Once everyone arrived, it was time for the group fun to begin!

Refreshments at the West Palm Beach Hibiscus House Bed & Breakfast.

It was a fun, whimsical photo shoot. All in all, we never had to call an ambulance. Not even for Jamil.
